Taken with my 'gPhone'
I've been playing around with the 3 megapixel camera on my Android-based G1. Like any phone camera, you need a little diligence, a lot of light, and a steady hand.
For the best results, tap and release the shutter button, and then hold the phone still until it takes the picture a second or so later. It's not necessary to hold down the button until the picture takes. Holding down the button will contract the muscles in your hand and make it more difficult to keep the phone steady.

That was pretty good.
Beautiful shots! Thinking of replacing your 5D? ;)
Congrats on the new family member!
Bet you're glad to be able to talk about the phone now. Look forward to hearing more. Congrats on your good work!
thanks for the tip where u say that u dont need to hold down the button!
was useful for my nokia n73 too :D
Lovely pictures.
But there is NO information on what the gPone is like as a _phone_
Nor is there any basic information on standby times. call times, ring/vibrate/silent etc etc. Can the phone use WiFi for calls?
Its like everyone has got carried away on some gimmick areas of the phone and forgotten that people may actually use it as a [gasp] _phone_ ;-)
Since you are working with Android now, are you still involved in Guice project? If so, do you use it on Android?
Beautiful.. :)
Nice pictures. I have taken a few with my G1 but none as good as the ones you posted.
Check out SnapPhoto from the marketplace. It puts the camera settings on-screen and adds some new features.
Nice pictures... I've never had any of mine come out nearly that good with the G1. It makes me want to experiment.
