Thanks Bob - the talk was very informative.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteMy internet connection is a little slow, so I'm not able to view the video. Is there any direct link so that I can keep it for downloading overnight?
Thanks a lot.
Regards,
Dhruv
Bob - you lost me at "stupid simple." I don't think I passed the test. But for some reason I'm still impressed. I'll catch you in October?
ReplyDeleteTim, I'll be there. ;)
ReplyDeletedhruv, Go to Google Video and click the "Download" button.
ReplyDeleteThanks, good presentation.
ReplyDeleteThe google video download link isn't working, either in FF or IE :(
ReplyDeleteIts very informative...Thanks you Bob
ReplyDelete"Don't call me, I'll call you".... Nice usage. It said evrything about dependency injection. right?..

Constructors rule. I feel vindicated after years of bugging developers with my backwards thinking. :)
ReplyDeleteBob,
ReplyDeleteI'm sold, and I'd really like to try it out.. but is it not in the Maven repository yet? Doesn't appear to be.

Woops. Found it. For those interested, groupId=com.google.code.guice artifactId=guice
ReplyDeleteall good and fair, but why did you have to call it Guice (pronounced Juice)? we have a hard enough time with people mispronouncing our name as it is...
ReplyDeleteHow Guice compares with Spring framework, looks like instead of configuration xml it is java modules? Are there any huge differences between spring-core and Guice? I appreciate, if anybody can point out pros and cons among spring and Guice.
ReplyDeleteThe video is still not working in any way. The google link provided by Adam is returning this message "404. That’s an error. The requested URL was not found on this server. That’s all we know." Maybe it was remove from google, but thanks Crazy Bob... for the intention.
ReplyDeleteHi guys; Here you have a good explanation about dependency injection.
ReplyDeleteThe explanation is related to the use of different enviroments (develop, test, production) it's a good one:
